Editions of Juvenal printed up to the year 1600

This bibliography was originally an appendix to my PhD thesis on the influence of the Satires of Juvenal on sixteenth-century French verse satire. It has more recently been completely revised and extended (in progress). Although first conceived of as a potential printed bibliography, it has been redesigned as an online wiki, using Semantic Mediawiki software. This has enabled a much fuller indexing of detailed aspects of the recorded editions, incorporation of photography, and linking to external resources, in particular to online bibliographical databases and digitised copies of editions.

Funding for visits to libraries to record descriptions of copies has been provided by a variety of sources, in particular the University of Kent, the Bibliographical Society, and most recently the award of the Folter Fellowship of the Bibliographical Society of America for 2015/2016 and a research grant from the Friends of Princeton University Library for 2018.

In 2019 the wiki was approved as an electronic publication of the Bibliographical Society
